Why Is It?

Why is it when you go to another room to get “it” you can’t remember what “it” is until you walk back to the original room to think?

Why is it you remember to get catsup at the market after you have checked out?

Why is it you buy a gift and then beat yourself up mentally because you are sure it is not good enough?

Why is it you remember you need gasoline after you have past the only station that will take your check?

Why is it if someone looks at you it is because, you think, your hair is sticking up or there is lipstick on your teeth?

Why is it when the doctor’s office calls you, after you just left, you asked what you did wrong?

Why is that no matter how many miles you’ve driven faultlessly that day Hubby always points out how you park over the line in the lot?

Why is it when you think you have nothing to do there is always housework?

Why is it you sit at a computer asking dumb questions when there are other things to do?  That one I can answer!! Because I love making you smile!!!!

My Christmas wish to you
Is for happiness the whole year through.

Though family is scattered they are deep in your heart.
And with that kind of love you are never apart.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS WYLLOW FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS!

Nothing To say!

It Is 13 days to Christmas Eve.  The meal is planned.  The time is set.  The shopping except for one gift and three little do-hickey type gifts.  The Christmas cards are home made, not because I can’t afford them, but that I love to make them.  They go out in the mail tomorrow.  The decorations are up. I will have a little house cleaning to do but that is something that always needs to be done.  So I sit here anticipating our family time together and the laughter that always escapes at the dinner table.
So how are you getting along with your plans?  Anything special in store?  I sure love to hear about them!!
Man, for nothing to say I sure got a big mouth huh.

Let There Be Light!!!

And oh boy is there.  The C9’s went up on three sides of the five sided house on Tuesday.  Three step up the step ladder and the wooden light hanging pole and the outside is started.  The snowball bush in front has two nets of mini lights on it.  There are two (2 foot) lighted red candles with Noel on them on a very small platform at the front door(which we don’t use). On the side porch is a lighted Santa Head decoration.

The electric company will declare a profit for December on account of me.

Inside the lighted garland runs from the loft down the stair railing to the first floor.  The tree is in the bay window and a string of mini lights with garland outline the french doors to the deck.  Non electric are the wreaths on the front and side doors, hanging in the downstairs hall, and in the upper level of the dining wall about 13 feet up.

Now I have to finish trimming the tree and get the boxes back to the basement out of sight until sometime in early January when I take it all back down.

But such is life and By God I do Love It…..

OOPS!  # 2

It seems that in the process of trying to convert to a cable net connection (not complete yet), I have lost my e mail account so until we can get it cleared up I guess you will think I have kicked the bucket or failed to pay my bill.  Neither is the case and as soon as I set up a new account you will be the first to know.  Until then the blog is still working and so will I be.

20 Things I Wish

Sweet Thing from Cindyisms has asked some of us to list 20 things we would like Santa to bring us because we have been good.  ( I don’t know about that statement if I have).  It has taken 3 or 4 days so far and I’m still working on it.  So bear with me and I’ll try to have something in the next couple of days.  After all 20 is alot to come up with when you’d lived over half your life already.

Blown Away Almost

Today I will put the outside Christmas lights up.  Yeah sure!  Drag the step ladder out of the garage and set it up in the front of the house.  Oops need the the extension ladder to reach the top hooks.  Back down to the garage and drag the extension ladder into the back of the truck.  Bring it up to the front of the house—Great the step ladder has blown over.
This year I want to use those plastic rope things.  I have three strings totaling 73 feet.  Unfortunately one string is a different brand and will not connect securely to the other two.  That leaves me with 48 feet to play with on the front.  I’ll use that!  When I go to put the rope over the hook, the hook isn’t big enough. That means I have to climb the extension ladder to near the top, place a plastic tie wrap around the rope and slip it over the hook.
The step ladder blows over again and it hold the equipment to tie the rope things.  Besides 48 feet ain’t going to get me up one side, across the peak, and down the other side.  So I climb down the extension ladder and as I turn to pick up the step ladder the extension ladder start to slide.

Well shit, it is too windy, too cold, and I am too fucking old to be up on that ladder anyway.  So the strings of C9 will go up instead because they fit the hooks, I can stay on the step ladder and reach them with my trusty light stringing extension pole.  I have to remember those damn things have to come down again in a little over a month and the snow will probably be ass hole deep to a big, tall, indian!!
