No Reason To Worry

In the last few days my family has expressed the fact that they were sorry they forgot my wedding anniversary.  That 30 years is a long time and that it should have been remembered.  But even I forgot until half way through the day so it sure didn’t bother me that others also forgot.  But this was a good excuse to show you this memory from the 25th anniversary.  The cake was made by Wes’ wife Deb and Cindy.  The evening was a complete surprise with relatives, friends, neighbors, and co-workers from several years back attending.  My children were responsible for the celebration and the gentleman that had married us 25 years before came to preside over the renewal of our vows.  My youngest brother and his wife, who stood up with us, came from Florida to be there.  This is a memory I will not forget for some of those that were with us that night have now passed on.  With this kind of love and sharing I don’t need to have loved ones worry that they forgot one day.

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. Congratulations!  I tend to forget those special occasions of those around me also,  For the first time this year I almost forgot my own anniversary.  We also tied the know in July. It’s good to see people with ‘stick-to-it-tiveness’ out there with the willingness to work through the hard times in order to enjoy the good times together.  Happy 30th!
