A request on Cindyism’s blog was for graduation pictures of Wes, Les, and Cindy. I apologize for the quality. My expertise leaves alot to be desired. But they were a good looking bunch!

A Spurt!
A trip to Michael’s for yarn has turned my whole schedule around. The ‘Dark Tower’ book five is on hold. Deavers, Allyn, and the Reader’s Digest Select books will all join the ranks until this creating frenzy passes. In fact I don’t hold much hopes for the kitchen floor either. It is a good thing the hubby is semi-blind. I figure if I get him, the cat, and the birds fed that will keep everyone quiet. I hope the cat doesn’t start sneezing because that is a dead give-away that I need to vacumn.
So if I’m seem to have fallen off the end of the earth—no I’m still here buried under fun fur, chenille, and boucle. But such is the life of an old woman who feels a spurt of ” I can do it” every once in a while!
Quick, Easy, And Purple!
Remember the saying about getting old and wearing purple? Well here for your consideration is something that fits the color but the yarns suggest a young feeling. This is a combination of one skein each of Lion Homespun and Bernat Fur Out.
This scarf is soft to the touch and light enough to be comfortable. The knitting needles are a size 17. Cast on ten stitches. Knit every row until you reach the desired length (pattern from the Lion Yarn website). Quick and easy which is what I need!
Update!
Hey it is 8:29pm and the scarf is done. Too bad it is a gift because I fell in love with it!
Early November News
Up on the rooftop—but it wasn’t St Nick. Our eldest was up today to fix a lose board on the cupola. This doesn’t sound hard until you remember that this house is a dome. So as he climbs up the ladder and crawls up the roof I stand on the ground hoping he doesn’t take the quick way down. When he came down he said he had good news and bad news. The good news was the board was now secure. The bad news was that there were spaces in the top of sidewalls where they met the cupola roof and we have bees and nests in behind the fascia board. That means openings on five sides. So we have to figure out the next step. As you can see he made it down in one piece.

The flowers are in the last days of life after over a week here. So I guess tomorrow I will toss them out.
The 3rd gift project needs the pocket finished and attached to be complete. It would have been done but yesterday I logged on to Lion Yarn and found several patterns for different types of yarns. I printed about two dozen of them out and set up a binder for them. I think I will buy some chenille yarn next. The colors I saw are jewel-tone, very rich and vibrant.
Well it is about time to start supper so I guess I”m out of here for today. Come back again I love the visits!
The Eyes Have It!
On election day Jay woke up with blood spots and blurring in his eyes. I helped him with voting and we returned home. He then laid down for awhile. I hate to have him go through this because it just knocks the wind out of his sails. He seems to just give up.
Yesterday we went back to his Counselor and that helped a little.
Today we saw both Eye Doctors and he has another appointment in three weeks. Dr. Ross seems to think that it will clear up before too long. In the meantime we will roll with the punches and hope for the best.
I can’t help but think that we are very fortunate because so many people are working to keep him feeling good. There are too many people out there that don’t feel as well as him and never will again. So we will try to talk about the fun things and not dwell on the health issues, unless it is to talk about improvements.
Looks Like!
It looks like we are gonna cry, Children!

More Magic!
Flowers in a grocery cart, just a way to say
I love you and I’m sorry in a very special way.
I brought them home. I thank him for his thoughtfulness
They banished thoughts of anger and of hopelessnes!

The beauty of their blossoms weaved a magic charm
The colors seemed to glow with sensual alarm.
I gazed at them and wondered how long the spell would last.
Could they live a while or would their death be fast,

Today I took time to look at them to see how they’d survived
The lily buds had opened, the blooms were so alive.
These wonders of nature always seem to mesmerize
Brining so much happiness much to my surprise
Thank you Jay
Magic!
No politics here today. SEB has all you need. Go see him!
For Momma it is just stuff and nonsense today!
Making The Bed With Molly!
Now you see her!
I kinda of wish I had that magic trick when the kids were little! Just wave a blanket and think of a magic word! There would have been a whole lot of quiet evenings then!
