My Tech Man

Yesterday I called my ‘Tech man’ to come up for a brief visit to install the new Canon Pixma IP 3000 printer and plug in all the cables I accidentally unplugged trying to find a place to add it.
My expertise at installation sucks big time.  Every time I need something fixed I haul my ‘Tech man’ over a hundred miles into the wilds of Otisville to soothe my savage beast (the fear of breaking expensive shit that I don’t understand!).

So as I threw a Schwann’s Dinner in and Jay sat and talk with Anne, the ‘Tech man’ worked his magic updating both the computers to accept the new printer.  So thank you SEB for coming to my rescue again!

  1. Ain’t we the lucky ones?! to have loving family members who can figure these things out.
Consultation services can be quite expensive.
DOF calls it his ‘community service’ when he helps someone with computers and the time is strictly off-the-clock.
Thanks, Les.  I’d sure miss Momma Mary if she went away.

  2. I am glad I am not the only one with computer plugin fears.  I too, have knowledgable family members to help.  In fact, I met my husband five years ago on line.  We always thank my sons for buying and installing a computer for me a few years before that.  Without their help, we may never have met.

  3. Funny how sons seem be a help in Moms find another signicant other. When the first hubby died my eldest son was the person urging me to date my husband of soon be 31 years.

  4. Oh my, to me it is always a small miracle to realize how similarly we all walk our paths. Sons are really pretty neat and very understanding.
So I am lifting this early morning coffee cup in salute to all our boys.
    Maria
