Tears

It seems that tears have filled a great part of my life lately.
The loss of my daughter’s kitten to an accident on Cindyisms.
The story my granddaughter wrote on Degrees of Oddity
The terrible hurricane disaster in Louisiana, Mississippi, and elsewhere.
The moments when I stop to feel the slow loss of mobility.
The struggle my children face to obtain a way to make a decent living.
The emotion that seems to grip my husband in moments of stress,

I guess that tears are the release that old age provides so our minds don’t explode and we can retain what common sense we have survived with!

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. Hell I cry all the time right now and even though my face gets all red and puffy it helps to let it all go.  I still feel strong and I feel hope for all of us that things will work out fine.

  2. Yes, tears are good and even though we are older and wiser, it doesn’t mean we are less vulernable.  Life hurts sometimes.  The hurt needs to be acknowledged.  You need a good hug.
