Yes!!!

Man I feel like standing up with my hand on my heart and singing every patriotic song I have ever learned.  Yes I voted and so did you and you and few million others in this country and amazingly we voiced the need for a change.  I hope that it will be for the better!

A visit to my eye doctor today set in motion the machinery to accomplish cataract surgery.  It is only old age reminding me that things wear out and need help.  I have had the white ring around the inside of my irises for quite a while.  The visit confirms that that is old age also and happens to every one.  The tech. said that many people don’t even notice it.  I did because my eyes are dark brown.  It does not effect sight and is nothing to worry about.  However the cataracts are a problem so we will get them taken care of.  I have been with Jay through the procedure so I’m not worried about it.

I have been trying to get a picture of Molly and Brandy nose to nose so you can see them in a moment of communication.  But each time I pick up the camera Molly walks away and Brandy sits staring up at me!

As promised quite a while ago I have a picture of Brandy after the bath and before the towel.

Pitiful looking little thing isn’t she!

Today’s Dog Philosophy is:
Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate.——-Sigmund Freud

Good night all!

Over The Weekend!

I really don’t know where to start so I’ll just jump in.

The dialysis is still going pretty rough.  Jay may face more surgery on his arm.  We should know after another week of treatments.

We go vote tomorrow and I’m urging you to vote also.  I don’t know if it will help but staying home definitely won’t.

Tomorrow Brandy goes to the Doggie Depot for her beauty shop appointment.  It is haircut time again to keep the hair out of her eyes.

I had a frustrating time with Ticket Master this weekend.  I was on line to get tickets for Bob Seger’s concert on the 20th of December.  Cindy and I were going to go to it together.  I had confirmed two tickets and when they asked if I wanted the tickets Emailed to me I said yes.  They asked for my Email address and i typed it in.  It asked me to retype it again and when I did it said that the address didn’t match ( but it did).  I retyped the thing again and submitted and a message said my order had timed out and they gave the tickets away. The tickets went on sale at 10 am and at 10:14 am there were no tickets left for the seating and price.  I was livid!  I called Cindy to tell her I didn’t get them.  She said they had added 3 more days.  I called the Palace for tickets and they said I had I had to call Ticket Master.  I did this and ended up with two tickets in the nosebleed section on the 30th of December.  Cindy and I are both delighted in spite of the seating.

I didn’t fare as well on my fidge today.  We went looking for a new refridgerator today and came within inches of having a staunless steel, ice and water in the door, side by side delivered on Thursday.  I do mean inches—the model we looked at was 91 and a half inches high and my opening under the cabinets is 86 inches high so I had to call back and cancel it.  Well I guess it wasn’t to be at least not now.

SEB and family were up yesterday and I had a list of 6 things to be done computerwise.  He had Anne’s mother with them and we had a great visit with her as well.  She and Anne pitched in with Jay on fixing lunch while Les and I worked on the list.  Ain’t nothing like inviting someone to lunch and then making them cook.

Wednesday is an appointment with the other eye doctor for me.  first an exam then we go from there.  I have the white rings on my irises, (Old age?) and I am having trouble reading Jay’s syringe when I fill it.  I still read without glasses but the tiny print is almost impssible to make out without a magnifing glass.
I must get this fixed because Jay depends on me.

My grankids didn’t get up this last Saturday so they will be up this Saturday for the costume session.  I will try to get some pictures while they are here.

My dear friend Pammie has started her blog and as soon as I can find how to comment on it I will extend an invite to you to visit her.

Hope all is well with you and see you soon.

Dog Stuff!

Fell a little behind in my Dog Philosophy so it is two for one !

The average dog is a nicer person than the average person—-Andy Rooney

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare.
And in return, dogs give us their all.  It’s the best deal man has ever made.——M. Acklam

I have found this to be true with Brandy and she has enough to share with Jay, me, and everyone she sees!  What joy she has added to our lives!

Before And—-

Yesterday was a successful dialysis day.  This was after a faults start but that has been resolved.  Jay seems to feel much better today and I have set up both the pocket and the wall calendar for the Davita appointments.  This helps me stay on top of the activities and to reset appointments that may conflict.

Cindy was up yesterday and beat my butt at rummy again.  I know it is a mental thing—I just don’t want to hurt her feelings Ha Ha!

Also the camera came back yesterday so my son will be winching again when he reads this!  I did do a before and after on the house.

Except for having to paint the uprights (in the spring) I think the after is better.

Jay has been nagging all morning that I call the eye doctor for an appointment for myself so I guess I’ll close for now and visit again later!
