The Golden Years Suck!

The Second Happy Day!

Wes , Wife Deb, Jasmine, and Dakota came today with a delicious cake and gifts in hand to celebrate yet another birthday day.

Dakota gave Brandy a run for her money.

While Jasmine pick out and packed clown outfits for a high school production.

We had Pizza, birthday cake and ice cream for lunch.  My presents were a tin of Royal Dansk Chocolate Wafers, a miniature rose plant, and a plaque.

But the thing that really caught my eye was the plaque.

This will be placed on the table near the Golden Years Suck Pillow and will remind me to smile every time I see it.

Thank you oldest son’s family for a great chat and the lovely gifts!

You have put up two fine messages, complete with pictures, yet I get to be the First to Comment!

Well, I do have to say you sure got a bunch of Birthday greetings and Loot!  I’m going to have to look into the yarn books.
Your oldest son looks like your side of the family.  Must be the eyes.

Love the Dr Seuss plaque.  I’m getting there fast..

I’m so glad your birthday was Happy!

I really like The Cat in the Hat’s idea of age.  I was sent an e-mail of that page, so I copied it and put it up on the bulletin board in our Activity Room.  I’m not sure if any of the old ladies cared for the “naughty” language but if that sweet little poem offended them, they have a problem, eh?  haha

And by the way—Happy Birthday! Someone mentioned it was a “milestone”… now just how old is a “milestone”?  I’m pretty sure I’ve passed it already.

Thank you both for the comments.  Yes both Wes and Cindy are Waggoner looking and Les is has the high Jenkins forehead but people say he looks like my middle brother.

Lorraine,  I dearly love The Cat thing too.  Wes’ wife saw it and said it was me.  So Wes found it on the internet, copied and framed it for me. The milestone for me is 72.  Actually 32 years longer than I thought I’d see when I was in my late twenties.
