There you have it. Thanks to daughter-in-law Debra we have something to be proud of!
Looks beautiful!!!
Nice work. I try to get some yard work done, but my neck and back are in pretty bad shape, so if I over do it, I end up with significant pain.
My youngest stepson is supposed to be doing the work, but he just turned 16, and his attitude is now, shall we say, less than enthusiastic. He’s like our own little Fredo Corleone, but I would never say that to my wife. (Who, as luck would have it, doesn’t even read MY blog, so I am not worried that she might stumble across this comment. OK, not TOO worried.)
Your gardens are beautiful. How do you keep the grass and weeds out of it? I’ve got a couple big gardens in front of my house, and even with mulching thickly, they still get overrun! I have to redo some of my beds, and start all over with them, specially with all the construction going on at my house lately. Come by and see what I mean…
Green Thumb people have me all jealous and breaking the commandment about Covet….
Looks beautiful
Looking good!!

Paula, My daughter-in-law Debra Showed me how. First pull the weeds and grass. If difficult try wetting down the area, it make pulling the material up easier. Then she covered the area with newspapers. She finished it off by putting top soil on the papers. She says it works as well as cloth barrier stuff and is a whole lot cheaper. The initial prep is the hardest after that the redo is much easier.
Thank you ever one for the comments it took Debra and I three days to get it under control. Now all I have to do is remember to water.
