Giggles and Gifts.

Our Mother’s Day menu was Oven Fried Chicken. Potato Salad, and homemade Carrot Cake.

My gifts were placed nicely in the middle of the table.  A Hyacinthus Pink from Cyn and Dave with this card.

Upon opening it you hear a little voice saying, “You’re the best Mommy anyone could ever have.  Hope your Mother’s Day is the best too.  Love you have a happy day.”  Then a little horn goes Beep Beep!  My reaction!

My first thought was I am reading a My Little Pony card at 73 from my going on 36 year old daughter.  Then it hit me—How many times over the past 40 + years have I heard ‘I love you Mommy’ every time someone did something wrong and I had to laugh!  Believe me many a conversations over the next few months will end in Beep Beep!

This was my next card from Granddaughter Courtney.

Inside the card read—We’re so similar you’d think we’re related or something.
        Oh, wait.
      Happy Mother’s Day;
      Love Court.
It was so like something she would say that I busted out laughing again.

The pretty blue card with th pink trim came from Les, Anne, and Courtney along with a package of Ferrero
Rocher Chocolates and this…..

Don’t know where I’ll wear it but I’m going to try hard to find an occasion.

Les and Courtney ( Anne had left the room) posed while Cindy worked on her blog.

Yep you can go there and there is something different than “My Little Peeps”.
David played with Brandy.

Jay was then off to his computer surfing!

I need to thank my family for the gifts and also the laughter we shared today.

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!
