A Short One!

I discovered today that the left side of my bay window thinks it is Christmas and cactus on the right side is still wondering if it wants to bloom or not.  Last year every thing was in full bloom at holiday time but this year it is a bit mixed up.

This will be short because we went out on another grocery shopping trip today and I always end up tired out with feet and ankles screaming.  True to form that is my condition at this moment.  So I’m off for a short siesta until the pain pill kicks in.  Take care everyone!

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. The Christmas cactus is pretty; glad you HAVE a pain pill to help with the swelling! Rest up, dear friend!

  2. Hello there, I too have a Christmas pale pink catus which doesn’t seem to know whether to bloom or not – it put out a few blooms just before Christmas, bucked a bit when I watered it end of last week for while but doesn’t really get on with it!!

I have a lady neighbour too who seems to suffer with her legs and feet like yourself, only saw her clambering out of her daughter’s car this evening, and then having to walk indoors using her walking frame.  She has had both knees operated on too.  She is waiting to watch the film Mamma Mia which so many over here have loved,
but the copy I am supposed to be putting her way is out with another friend at moment.  All best Marion Liss
