Someone who was moving out of the country gave me a bag full of the Homespun, so my future has a project calling.
Yours looks real nice with the Diagonal Box Stitch pattern.

So glad your brother is showing improvement.

I think I may have mentioned before that my grandmother and grandfather moved from Indiana to Coldwater Michigan in the 1950’s to be with my aunt and father. I don’t know what it is about them Michigan women that make them such wonderful craftspersons, (politically correct for “craftsmen”,) but she also did a lot of crochet work. I still have a ton of potholders she made, and my folks have the afghan she made for them when they got married. In the late 50’s my grandmother started making the first of three quilts to be given to us kids when we got married. My brother was the first to get married, but by then my grandmother had died and we weren’t sure which quilt was meant for whom, so my brother got first pick of the three. I was the second to get married, so I picked out one of the two left, and since my sister declared early on that she would never get married, she got the last one.

Those quilts were locked away in a cedar chest, which I now have, and are just about as nice as when grandma made them. I don’t use it anymore because I want to keep it nice, but MAN is that thing warm!

I think we are all getting “snow blind” here in South Eastern Michigan. Last nights snow brought another session of lift and toss with the snow shovel. Our budget is limited and the snow blower mocks me when I go into the garage.
I inherited two boxes of odds and ends of yarn from my sweet mother. So, I think a “ugly” set of projects will keep me sane. You keep up the good work and I know someone will climb that ladder for you soon.
