Good Morning! The thermometer on the wall reads 48 degrees. This has been the norm along with rain for the last week. It is a little disheartening when you are looking to hang your coat or your flannel lined shirt in the closet until cold season again. The sun does shine throughout the day but it doesn’t stay out. Despite that Brandy wants to be outside all the time and we do clash when I’m busy. But I do try to go out to the swing or we walk around taking pictures.
This is Brandy ‘hightailing’ out of the violets. (Yes my friend that is a pun because she moved before I snapped!) She delights me because she seems to stop and smell the different flowers blooming around the dome. But catching her with her nose in a bloom is not always successful.
The Bleeding Hearts are coming along well.
Now it is time for the Daffodils to fade and the Tulips to bloom.
Yesterday I spent time at the new computer watching the two disc DVD CROSSROADS. It is the Eric Clapton Guitar Festival 2007 featuring 25 performers. What a great couple of hours listening to some wonderful guitarists. Some of them I had never heard of before, some I had, and some were familiar name wise but I had never heard them play. The royalties for this DVD benefit Crossroads Centre, Antigua a facility for treatment of alcoholism and substance abuse.
Today I think I will start a new project. I haven’t been accomplishing much lately so I better get my butt in gear. It is also pay bills day so I’ll get that under control too.
Hope you have a great and satisfying weekend and remember the laughter thing!
Your Bleeding Hearts are beautiful! Mine haven’t quite ‘come up’ yet (I can see a few leaves, but not much else); same with tulips…none yet, just dead or dying daffodils and narcissus (oh well…).
Even if it isn’t quite ‘stay outside’ weather, it’s still better than rain & the ‘s’ word! Enjoy your ‘new project’! I just conquered a new knit stitch (will try to feature it next blog entry) so I know what ya mean about wanting to start something new!
Hugs;
Pammie
We are having lovely weather at moment in time for one of our Bank Holiday Weekends, Monday being the official day off for everyone added to this weekend, hit past 60 today. At last T shirts on!!
I don’t remember if I said, but went and saw Elvis Impersonator about 3 weekends ago and enjoyed a lot, the audience were up on their feet at the end of the show, after the chap did the Vegas part of Elvis’s career so great!!
Have been trying to organise someone who dog sits, so that I can take the odd coach trip now and again this summer, believe have found a lady to do this for a moderate sum of money this evening, who lives fairly nr to me. She could just call into my greyhound Fern twice a day whilst I am away on any trip. Haven’t been able to take any trips of late due to needing dog care!
Also in case I wish to take a five or so day holiday away too any time.
Son gave me a thin monitor for my computer while back grateful for. Computer does play up at moment though, freezes a lot, he said he needs to put 3 components or computer parts together to get me really sorted again, but don’t know when this will be, he is so busy himself.
Lovely to see your photos again, espec. the oriole bird. Love to all Marion. England.
I loved talking with you yesterday. Laughingly, I told Bob if I could have one wish it would be to sit in Mary’s kitchen for an hour, drinking coffee, talking, and maybe eating a sweet home-made goodie.
I am so glad to have the blog back up. It was some small glitch and misunderstanding with the server.
We have had nothing but wind and more wind for the past two days. It is enough to drive a sane person cukoo. . . so you can imagine what it is doing to me. LOL
Lovely flowers you have in your garden! Weed took over and destroyed some of mine. I love to see them it makes me so happy when their blooming. I love the new computer. Mine’s been acting up lately and its probably on its last legs too. ‘
Oh yeah, thanks for the well wishes on Caroline’s blog regarding our wedding aniversary! Its been a rough road in the beginning, but it resulted in 2 great daughters and 4 beautiful grandkids that are the light of our lives.
