The Snowball bush now has clumps of green soon to be white on it. While the Crab Apple has lost it’s blossoms to the wind. My other two bushes still have blossoms but they too are starting to move on to the next stage of Spring. There are still flowers in the beds around the dome and iris type buds are appearing on the berm. I hope to get a couple of lilac bushes started soon. I’ll pick them up when Jay goes for tomato and pepper plants at McDaniel’s.
As to my outside feathered visitors, the Oriole still insists that the Hummingbird nectar is the best.
This of course gives me another chance to get a better picture of it. But the Oriole feeder is not being neglected because I see a small woodpecker visiting it daily. I must remember my camera every time I go outside. Jay said that the Your Ride driver that picked him up Friday saw a Humming bird at the feeder. Still haven’t caught one of those yet this year. I also missed a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak that stopped to rest on the deck railing.
This Monday and then again yesterday found us at Dr. Ross’ office. Jay has developed a serious problem with his left eye. With no vision in it since childhood it is difficult for him to determine when something is wrong. He will visit a Glaucoma specialist as soon as the appointment is set up and also continue to see Dr. Ross to determine if the Avastin injection is helping.
Well the mail brought me funny Mother’s day cards from my eldest son and also from Michael and Dar. I also received Deluxe Printshop 23 on Friday from the Ann Arbor Jenkins clan. It seems when Les was programming my new computer he discovered I had Printshop 10 to install. He asked if I knew how many updates there have been since then. I of course didn’t because it is not a priority any longer. Anyway I have it now, thank you children, but upon opening the box and seeing the what looked like a ten volume manual I chickened out and set it aside. Things like uninstalling 10, choosing what out of 23 I wanted to use, and then installing that just turned my ability to master the project to a chicken turd!!! Yes I will cry brain damage to Les and he will make it all better!
Truth be known I had typed a post last night but the internet provider must have felt it to be a ‘poor me’ post and wouldn’t let me send it. I’m kinda glad that happened because I don’t like downers. The world is full of downers right now and I don’t need to add to the pile.
Get better soon brother—Daniel, DoF, Cindy, and Edna’s hubby Bob because we need you up and about!
See you soon everyone and don’t forget to laugh!
I have Photo Shop and about all I can do is say I downloaded it into Print Shop. This sounds awesome. I have also learned to say with authority, “I worked on that photo in Photo Shop for quite awhile to get it the way I wanted it.” Truth be known, I am able to do a little, but I know I am only skimming the top. There are so many possibilities.
I can only imagine how worried you are about Jay’s eyes. It sounds like the Doctor is right on top of it by sending him to a specialist.
I know what you mean about trying to write cheerfully. I am doing that right now with my posts. I really want to cry and write about how afraid I am for my friend who is in for the battle of her life. I really want to write about how much I hate CANCER and how it robs us of those we love.
Ironic that I write happy posts and dump my fears and sorrows here. Sorry Mary, but somehow I know you will understand.
How senior moment of me. You are talking Print Shop and I am talking Photo shop. Egads, I have to read more carefully. I do however, use Broderbund Printshop ProPublisher Deluxe Version 20 for all my memory book pages. I am wondering if your new program is an updated version of mine. It was quite easy to use once I figured it out. Of course like all programs even after I have used it for at least five years, there is still more to learn.
Just this minute finished enjoying watching dear Elvis 1973 at peak of his career in live show from Hawaii on dvd, apparently it went out to over trillion people according to info with dvd.
He looks so happy during this show can’t believe only 4 yrs to go for him then!
Went to a cold, windy and wet steam rally in large field here on Sunday. Grandsons froze as we all did. Luckily found a great music Group playing in the Beer Tent into which lots of visitors had run to get out of the weather, and they played lots of Country music, so son’s in laws Joan and Dave and myself enjoyed this at least. All the traction engines started to load up on their low loader lorries to go home about half 3 the weather being so awful and bad!!
Son said temperature only reading 8 degrees on his car at one time. May month too!

Maria, That if it helps to talk of things you are troubled with here than by all means my friend talk away. I will always listen and try to understand.
Marion, It was a shame that your outing was spoiled by the weather. Hopefully better days are coming.
