Just here to say that this mess was cleaned up yesterday. Along with the vacuuming, the clothes folding and the mopping (except for the utility room) every thing got accomplished. Of course last night I pulled another load of laundry from the dryer and that is on the table this morning.
As to the progress on the balloons and the memory board. The balloon practice as of today is three hours behind. Last night I made one dog and the head of a poodle (which lost air in it’s body). I then proceeded to break eight balloons so I folded the whole thing up and put the balloons in the fridge. I had gone out earlier in the day to pick up poster board, green construction paper, glue, white crepe paper, and a marker pen. I ended up with everything but I chose a Tri-Fold display board for the poster board. All that remains on this project is to pull photos out of boxes, scan them with the computer, and mount the whole thing creatively. That job will begin tomorrow. Yeah right—-piece of cake——Not!!!!
Today is my baby brother’s 65th birthday.
Daniel has been fighting cancer and several other complications, in and out of hospitals, for months now. But he is cancer free, as far as doctors can tell, and still with us. So for me this is the biggest Happy Birthday I could wish for him. If you would like to add yours I will happily e-mail a print out of them to his wife Peggy to take to him in the hospital.
Jay and I are off to Dr. Ross’ office in another four hours so she can check on the progress of his eye surgery.
I will close for now, take a deep breath, and jump back into the projects at hand. Remember to laugh it is good for the lungs!
I hear ya on the ‘cleaning chores’-that’s what’s going on here today.
Best of wishes on Jay’s check-up; will email you a separate Birthday wishes for Dan, since we go waaay back to your wedding!
Glad you’re catching up on all the ‘extra stuff’; don’t let the balloons get ya down; they’re only ‘hot air’ surrounded by a little latex!
Big Hugges;
Pammie
Happy Birthday! we June babies need to stick together!
and I know from experience that a print-out of Good Wishes carried in to the hospital does the patient good
Housework got just a lick and a nod today.
I walked 20 minutes on the treadmill, first time in a week that I felt like walking, so I made the best of it.
Also needed to set aside the cotton granny square sewing to knit a lady hat on the peg loom.
I haven’t done anything with one of those in weeks, and the Vanna’s Choice yarn feels so nice under my fingers.
Pam’s comment about latex and hot air has me grinning….
Happy Birthday to your brother!! and many more!
When I was a teenager and out shopping with my mother, she would always find a small child to talk to at the check out counter. Somewhere in the conversation, she (to my chagrin) would tell the child, that I was once her baby and look how big I was now. At that point I usually prayed that the floor would open up and swallow me. A prayer that of course went unheeded.
I tell this story for Daniel who is still a baby brother. He has my best wishes for a Happy Birthday and although he probably loves being called by that name now, I bet like me, there was a time he wished the floor would open up and swallow him.
So Daniel, live well, love well, and give that big sister of yours a big bear hug because she is a very special lady.
Happy Birthday Day Uncle Dan. All my Love!
I love being the baby. I love being Momma and Daddy’s baby to this day (other then Molly and Brandi I mean human baby). I feel I am blessed in the parent department!
