No Pics Of The Sticks!

The uploading program for pictures is excused the expression “Screwed”  but my IT man is going to check it out.  In the meantime I have decided a text message is in order.

The trip to Henry Ford’s hospital in Detroit today resulted in a change in what drops for Jay’s eye and how often to administer them.  The doctor said he is coming along well and the next appointment is in three weeks.

My latest visitor to the yard was a wild turkey that glided in from the road and disappeared behind the dome this morning.

I have been wondering why I haven’t seen much activity at the nectar feeder the last couple of weeks.  Well I watched a Hummingbird feeding at the purple bush that hides the utility mess in the front of the dome.  Evidently they prefer natural to man made when it is available.

I also wondered if the Orioles had moved on but I saw three of them fly into the Snowball bush this morning.

After I removed the larger seed feeder my Woodpeckers are having a time getting to the suet before the larger birds eat it all.

Friday Jay and I will attended grand daughter Jasmine’s high school graduation.  I’m hoping she, like my other grand daughter Courtney, will go on to college.  I have one grand child left to finish high school.  Dakota, Jasmine’s brother, will be next in a couple of years.

Well it was a long interrupted day for me today and I laid down earlier this evening to regenerate so I’m messed up royally now. Maybe tomorrow I will get back to some kind of normal.  Until then take care!

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. G;ad thad Jay is making good progress in healing.  I know it takes time, but like all of us are anxious for improvement.  I feel the same way with mine.  My sore is healing great, but not yet enough for the nurses to release me yet.  Isnt it great to see all the wild life living and moving around the house.  I would love that too.

  2. Watch out for that “Wild Turkey”.  I hear it is a very potent drink!

Thanks for the boot in the butt.  I haven’t posted but I am feeling better about life.

Actually I have been working on a Memory Book that is a challenge and lots of fun, too.  However, it is time to get back to the blogging.
