Weekend Stress!

First let thank you for your kind words and prayers.  I will take time to talk a little about Daniel in a few days, with your permission.

But for today I prefer to talk about Sunday and Monday.

Sunday Jay and I worked on trimming some to the low branches on the trees in the front yard.  When I mowed out there I kept getting whipped by them and my arms were covered bruises and scrapes.  We used the loppers and the Alligator to clear the problems away.  Then Jay cut the larger branches up for the neighbor to take and we loaded the smaller stuff in the trailer to go out back on the pile.

We had five trailer loads that Jay dumped on the pile.

On Monday morning we went to Dr. Webb’s office to check out Jay’s arm.  There was a problem with the dialysis procedure.  It turned out he had a blood clot and we ended up at Oakwood Hospital so Dr. Webb could correct the problem with surgery.  We never got back home until after 5:00 pm and that was when I discovered the call on my machine about my brother.

This morning I went to have an ultra sound for the liver and gall bladder and should have results in a couple of days.  It has been a busy and some what stressful weekend but we made it through.

I hope all is going well for you!

  1. Man, you two make a ‘mean pair’…looks like Jay’s got one very ‘interesting’ tool going there; don’t think I’ve ever seen something like that but it sure looks like it would ‘do the trick’ on big branches! (Look out branches, here comes Ma & Pa Kettle ready to ‘do business’ on your bark! hehehe)

  2. Mary just had to look up a Christian company inMichigan for our ladies meet Radio Bible Co. Grand Rapids, and was thrilled to find them still functioning.  We had their address on a very old booklet about the life of Moses would you believe so were interested to see if they were still going, and lovely websites told me they are.

May help our Ladies if we need some interesting booklets for meeting.

So hot still here impossible just dripping off us!!  Thankful computer is in the cool of my middle sized bedroom here.  I wish I could send you some photos thru but do not have the means.  Shall have to ask my younger son to help me with this!!    Marion   Liss

  3. Mary,
To say this is a stressfull time would be a terrible understatement, indeed.  I hope Jay is resting after that surgery and please, please, please, have good news for us when you get the ultra sound information in a few days.

  4. So sorry to hear about your brother, may he rest in peace now.  You and hubby are really go getters when it comes to work!  More than me and mine could do!  I dont blame you for wanting to rid yourself of the jagged branches that got your arms!
