Yesterday was a transition day. Time to pull on that shrug that Pammie made me. Time to strip the bed, wash the sheets, and place them in the cedar chest in the closet. I pulled the flannel sheets out and got them and the comforter on the bed. I washed the new flannel sheet set that I had bought on Thursday so they would be ready to be used next. While in the chest I pulled out some old sheets that had been patched and some plastic container bags, stuffed them in a garbage bag to be thrown away.
I have started packing the summer clothes away in boxes so they will be easier to find next year.
I finished the day writing checks for the monthly bills (always a pain in the butt but other people gotta eat also).
The air conditioner is out of the kitchen window waiting to be put away and the window cleaned for another winter. Jay took the rest of the soups and the plain tomatoes down to be placed in the food room. I finished taking down the pressure canner, a large cooking pot, and my small floor fan. All are nicely put away and my kitchen is ready to start the apple project.
Our visit to Dr. Ross office has resulted in scheduling surgery on that left eye to remove a blood clot on 10/09/09. Also Jay will see Dr. Lewis on Wednesday the 7th. So it looks to be a busy week coming up.
I have to start thinking about where to put the two big plants that have been on the deck all summer. They will need to be brought indoors soon. Also the gas grill needs to go down the the basement or the shed. My plastic chairs, the umbrella table, and the metal plant stand must be put away.
There are a few things in the gardens to be taken in and I have to determine if I want to do one last mowing or two before the tractor gets picked up for conversion.
It is kinda sad to think about the changes that are coming up soon but we will make it through again this year. Let me know if you have started your seasonal changes yet!
Decided against trying to get to the concert I mentioned the other day, I think we are all OK just having the DVD of Isla Grant singer. Health of our lift people not that good.
Just listening to an hour or pure rock and roll we have on our local Radio Station this time of evening on Saturdays.
Just finshed watching new DVD called Cherie, bit saucy as all about an older woman seducing a younger chap, Michelle Pfiffer (not cert spelt that right) Marion.
I have spent most of my adult life in the Deep South and have pretty much forgotten the four seasons stuff.
Where I am we have summer and Mardi Gras.
the weather changes have been so drastic this year!
