Packing!

The ghosts, goblins, pumpkins, and other scary things have been returned to the blue plastic container marked Halloween and placed back in the basement of the dome.  A search of the box marked Thanksgiving showed little to decorate or celebrate with so it is off the Fairway and the Dollar store in search of items to brighten my little world.  I did find my flag for outside and a turkey has popped through my kitchen wall so it is a start.

Speaking of packing away it seems my rocker, pillow, french phone, and lamp are about to be packed away.  Yes Mommas Corner, as we know it, will be taking on a new look for a while.  SEB is changing the site from EE to Word Press soon.  Cindyisms and Jay’s Jammin’ are already converted so I will be next.  I’m going to miss my rocker for a while but SEB is going to try to bring it back eventually.  So don’t go away—-just bear with me and I’ll try to be around when you need your dose of blather!

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. it is November, and another year for me!  My knee is healing and I am getting anxious to start the holiday celebration.  I love your turkey!  Mine is still on the box, but the holiday uni-greeting door deco is up and makes me feel warm and fuzzy.  it means soon will be Turkey Day and family and fun.
Halloween was the usual 10 to 15 children brave enough to climb our hill and ask for treats.  Alica’s luminaries did entice them this year.  Momma good to read your busy and keeping up with Jay. LOL
