This Ain’t Kansas Toto!

My first post on WordPress! Since yesterday morning another hospital visit has cropped up. Yes it is down to Oakland County to have Dr. Webb work on Jay’s arm again. We know this is going to happen every once in a while but it is still a little upsetting when it does. But we will be down at the hospital by 12:15 pm and probably back out in a couple of hours. I’ll take my Deaver novel and my hook and yarn with me to pass the time.

Outside this morning the frost is on the pumpkin and this old lady is sitting hunched up over the keyboard. I have a shower to get before Jay gets up so I’ll cut this short and check in later today.

Stay warm and smile a lot today.

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. I knew you were changing banners on your webblog, but still it was a surprise. It is a nice change, but I miss the rocker and that cute little pillow.

My best wishes to Jay for a successful visit to the Drs.

  2. I miss them too but SEB says it will take a while to figure our how to put them on the new site and he has to convert his yet and make sure he has all the bugs out of the conversions he has done so far. Not to mention teaching all of us the ins and out of the program!

  3. This is not the “Momma’s Corner” we are used to seeing. But change is good. Since you mentioned Christmas, I am trying to get to the “home” made projects. Glad to hear Jay is doing OK. Being limited to having a driver, makes shopping difficult, so porjects are in the works.
