July Is Marching On!

One Done, Three To Go!

I decided to do one of everything then repeat the process.  I have started working on the Cherries and Holly Ornament now.

Wednesday we will pick up the blueberries for jam making.  We plan on canning regular and Bluebarb (Blueberries and Rhubarb).

This morning we picked zucchini from Jay’s container garden and prepared it for freezing.  It will make great bread this winter.  In fact I plan on making two loaves in the morning from some I left out of the freezing process.

It is Jay’s turn to visit Dr. Hukill on Thursday so I get to sit with my Robin Cook novel and wait for him.

I received a delightful anniversary gift from Mike and Dar the other day that contained four boxes of jar lids, a package of return address stickers, two pounds of  Michigan coffee, and some Scrub buds (Amway that I haven’t had in over five years).  It is an item I dearly love and have missed having.  Thank you my friends.  Also a moment out to thank everyone for the Get Well and Anniversary cards I have received.  They are thumb tacked all around the walls.

Take care and be happy until next time!

About Momma

I was 77-years-old on February 22 and I'm amazed to see it. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). Grandmother of three. Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. Whoa! Look at what you did! Very nice! I would say, from your list of ‘to do’ things, you MUST be feeling a little better – that’s great!
(Never heard of Scrub Buds – what ‘are’ they?)

  2. Pammie, Scrub buds are a very fine metal scouring pad for washing dishes. They used to demonstrate their smoothness by rubbing it over your nylons. They never snagged the stockings and were safe on your hands. As for cleaning those pot and pans they are great!

  3. OOPs there you go again! Outdoing us all with all that great stuff youve been doing Even with a bad leg! Wow! I dont know how you get so much done! Makiing me look bad there…
