A few minutes out to sit and warm up before I start the mending. It is Monday so all the waste baskets were emptied, the bird cages cleaned, made sure that Molly’s litter box was in satisfactory shape and took the trash done to the road for collection tomorrow morning. Starting next month collection will be on Monday so I have to (after 12 years) get used to Sunday night for the routine.
It is still snowing but Jay is feeling better and he did snow blowing before he left for dialysis this morning.
Well I’m thawing out so it is time to go find the denim to patch the elbows on another one of Jay’s lined flannel shirts. I will also be reworking Brandy’s pad for the console in the pickup. There are a couple of pockets to stitch up on my flannel shirt and a tear on one of Jay’s shirts to fix then I can put the old Kenmore away for a while.
I hope all is going well for you and that keeping warm is not a problem.
Reading your post reminds me of the small pile of Earl’s socks that need darning (not your everyday- but his wool argyle ones he wears for church – he’s worn the heels out a about 5 of them). Then there’s Ben’s jeans with the small tear in the butt area – ah, the fun. Glad to hear y’all are slowly getting better feeling – LOVE YOU!!!

Our weather got up to 55°f today. Melted off much of the snow shoveled off the driveway on Saturday. I left the screen window in the door while Oscar was outside pacing off his kingdom. Fresh Air feels so nice on an aching head.
I stayed home today with a sinus cold. It is still in the ‘plugged up’ stage, but a warm shower helped relieve the stuffage for awhile. Dreading when it all begins the ‘drain down the back of the throat’ process. Germs seem to be moving along their routine outcome.
Our regular trash collection is Monday. The town council is talking about curb pickup recycle items, and I say Yay for that!
Been very cold over here talk of snow for coming weekend and possibly next week too worst luck! Many dying over in Europe because of big freeze over there.
Our singer Daniel O’Donnell on 12th Feb to take a cruise from Fort Lauderdale with fans along with other Stars. Too dear it would have been for myself and other fans this end to go. Was offered about a year ago.
He is cruising today prob Carribean with friends privately for about ten days.
Still been enjoying dvd about the Scottish men and their mates just ordered another of their Series from Amazon. We can’t get over how real it all seems,
about older men and their carryings on when reitred and at loose end!
