Middle Of The Night Ramblings!

Frost but no snow!

Good Morning on this bright, sunshiny, 24 degree, February day.  There is frost every where but it is slowly disappearing this morning.  It promises to be a nice quiet Sunday which is what I need today.

Yesterday from 12:45pm until about 4:00 was spent at the Park Plaza dialysis center in Flint while Jay made up his missed Friday session.  He was at Dr. Hukill office on Friday with extreme back pain which he had  had for a few days.  The doctor said something about a muscular/skeletal problem and prescribed pills to take explaining it was nothing to do with the dialysis treatment.

I started out reading, doing some fill it in puzzles, and then switched to crocheting.  When the nurses said I still had one hour and 40 minutes to wait I drove over to Sam’s club, which is close, and walked through there picking up a few things.  After he was done we had catfish with three sides and biscuits for dinner.  We then proceeded home where after unwinding a bit in front of the television it was bedtime.

At some where around 4 am Jay woke me in pain so I got juice and his pills.  I was awake then so I picked up and put back Molly’s cat toys that she had dragged into  the hallway, gathered the laundry then started it, and emptied the dishwasher I had started before bed.  I checked my e-mail, read my blogs, and played around five or so games of Free Cell. I went back to bed before 7 am and slept until around 8:30.

It plans to be a quiet day today barring any incidents.  I hope you will have the same.

With my husband I can 300 or 400 half pints of jam, chutney, plus cabbage relish, pickled beets and cinnamon fruit every summer to give away. I was clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 70s, reading, and of course blogging!

  1. Mary and Jay I received a shocking phone call teatime Saturday just gone from an Aunt of good friend’s daughter age 42 that she had died suddenly early Sat. morning. She had suffered from epilpsy since 14, called Louise and slightly largish young lady, but quite a talented young woman and very kind to me over past 20 odd years, was her who taught me how to purchase dvds from Amazon which have since given myself and many friends such pleasure over the past 2 yrs or so. She lead the local handbells team back in her late twenties, loved her photography too. Married to nice young man called Rob who job has been running the little train up the Snowdonia mountain where they have been living past ten or so year up in North Wales. Her Mum is in bad way, has been living up nr daughter past 7 years too, now does not know what her future will hold. Spoke to her yesterday. Luckily she does have son Robert who is up in Wales helping her with everything at moment along with his wife Jo, who is a Nurse. (I did once wonder if Louise would live to be an older age or not). Her father walked out on them all when Louise was 14 and this seemed to bring on her Epilepsy. Ther is talk some new medication she has been taking recently may have contributed to her passing.

Have just sent a bouquet of white lilies up to her Mum hopefully reaching tomorrow. Thanks for listening. Have just e mailed 66 yr old Presenter on our local radio Roger about this. He too has a son and daughter and will understand the hurt of all this for the family. Marion Liss England.

Louise also lost a baby daughter at 5 months into pregnancy three years ago so much wanted and this has not helped.
