Good almost afternoon. I spent the morning with a phone receiver plastered to my “good ear” with a recording saying your call is important to us please remain on the line. It is the second incident of a letter not reaching it’s destination so I was quite upset about trying to get through to the company.
On another subject –company came calling last Saturday. Two of Jay’s sisters Jacki and Marilyn were here with three loaves of home made bread in hand. Also Les and Anne with a belated birthday present. I had lasagna, garlic toast, grapes in vanilla yogurt, and fresh strawberries. We opened a jar of picked beets also.
As usual I forgot to get a picture of every one at the table so this is the second best thing.
My gift was this
Ray Bradbury’s The Halloween Tree, Stephen King’s Bag Of Bones, Lesley Stanfield’s book on knit and crochet projects, The CD The Very Best Of Neil Diamond, and a new thermos mug. I must have been a good mommy or something.
Now I’m waiting for the man to deliver the home fill oxygen machine so Jay can carry the handier tank to dialysis. The appointments for both of us are popping up All over this month and I’m doing my best to keep track of them.
On the good side the sun is shining brightly through the windows and that always makes me feel better.
Take care of yourself and keep in touch.

Glad to hear things are ‘picking up’ some for the two of you. When I looked at the photo of your birthday gifts all I could think was :”Yep, probably off of her ‘wish list’ on line somewhere!” They all look like things you will have fun with – great! Beautiful, sunny day here, too – ’bout time, eh?
Hugs;
Pammie
Mary,
Happy to see you having good times with family – and look at all those neat gifts!! That’s the kind of things I love getting-along with plants and flowers!
