OOPS! # 2
It seems that in the process of trying to convert to a cable net connection (not complete yet), I have lost my e mail account so until we can get it cleared up I guess you will think I have kicked the bucket or failed to pay my bill. Neither is the case and as soon as I set up a new account you will be the first to know. Until then the blog is still working and so will I be.
MOMMA
20 Things I Wish
Sweet Thing from Cindyisms has asked some of us to list 20 things we would like Santa to bring us because we have been good. ( I don’t know about that statement if I have). It has taken 3 or 4 days so far and I’m still working on it. So bear with me and I’ll try to have something in the next couple of days. After all 20 is alot to come up with when you’d lived over half your life already.
Blown Away Almost
Today I will put the outside Christmas lights up. Yeah sure! Drag the step ladder out of the garage and set it up in the front of the house. Oops need the the extension ladder to reach the top hooks. Back down to the garage and drag the extension ladder into the back of the truck. Bring it up to the front of the house--Great the step ladder has blown over.
This year I want to use those plastic rope things. I have three strings totaling 73 feet. Unfortunately one string is a different brand and will not connect securely to the other two. That leaves me with 48 feet to play with on the front. I’ll use that! When I go to put the rope over the hook, the hook isn’t big enough. That means I have to climb the extension ladder to near the top, place a plastic tie wrap around the rope and slip it over the hook.
The step ladder blows over again and it hold the equipment to tie the rope things. Besides 48 feet ain’t going to get me up one side, across the peak, and down the other side. So I climb down the extension ladder and as I turn to pick up the step ladder the extension ladder start to slide.
Well shit, it is too windy, too cold, and I am too fucking old to be up on that ladder anyway. So the strings of C9 will go up instead because they fit the hooks, I can stay on the step ladder and reach them with my trusty light stringing extension pole. I have to remember those damn things have to come down again in a little over a month and the snow will probably be ass hole deep to a big, tall, indian!!
