Sweet Thing and David were up on Wednesday to bring up an exercise bike, pick up some garage sale items,and help me get beat at pinochle.
This is a game I learned from my Dad. I used to play partners with my first husband and manage to rock my oldest on his tummy on my lap at the same time. We didn’t have the money to “go out” so this was an evening spent with other ‘poor people’. Happily my second hubby is also a pinochle player too.
I’ve spent the last four days putting together two jigsaw puzzles, reading, and playing free cell (game # 20725) in between taking the truck to the Chevy dealer because the thottle control was sticking (a heck of a thrill pulling out of a parking space if you didn’t use the left foot to put on the brake while trying to unstick the gas pedal),taking Jay into the Dr’s office for a blood test, and taking one of my African Greys (Spirit)in to a new Vet’s. office for grooming. Oh I forgot I had my teeth cleaned too.
Just another week in The Axsom-Jenkins Circus Surpreme of this old broad’s life!!
