Hard To Take
After the 70’s and 80’s, yesterday was a little hard to take. I had dressed in shorts and a tank top then stepped outside to get the newspaper. Talk about nipples standing! You would have thought I heard the ‘Stars Spangled Banner’ being played on the front “lawn” (no it’s a yard).
I didn’t stop to look at the temp. out there as my knees and the wind blowing through them told the story wordlessly. Even my shoulders ached from hunching over to avoid the cold.
When does Summer show up? What is with the Fall flashbacks? How come Mother Nature doesn’t take pity on ‘ole folks’ who want to sit in the sun and read? Not the most pressing world problems but at least something I know enough on to bitch about!
But as they say in Michigan ‘If you don’t like the weather stick around a few minutes and it will change!’
