My neighbor had mentioned that her church had a program for it’s youngster which dealt with helping others. She asked if I could use some help with the yardwork to get caught up. I said I would be delighted for the help.
This afternoon at 1pm my doorbell rang and in no time at all there was a Dad driving the tractor and several teenage boys starting several projects in the yard. They were weed wacking, running the lawn mower, picking branches up and hauling them to a pile in back of the shed.
My neighbor made lemonade, I had a case of coke that wasn’t being used. I decided that I would get pizza as a thank you for all their help because everytime I would start a chore someone would walk up and take over.
One of the boys made the comment that I wasn’t used to having help was I. I smiled and said not this much help and thank them again.
