And they all gathered to feast and celebrate and it was noisy, busy, happy, and good. Yes we all managed to finally meet at Wes’ house. A victorian style home in the heart of smalltown Michigan!
Present was The Evil One and Little Snit, Handsome One, his redheaded better half, and offsprings, Richard our Friend, and of course Jay and I, with Cindyism and hubby Dave joining after work. We ate Bar-B-Q chicken wings, brats, three kinds of salad, baked beans, ham and cream cheese roll ups (mmm), chips and salsa, crackers and cheese, and chocolate cake. Low carb no sugar juice, Pepsi, Orange Crush, Margaritas, and Corona brews were the beverages of choice.
I took several pictures and will get them on the blog for you as soon as the Evil One writes up the procedure for me.
At dusk we sat in lawn chairs in the front yard and enjoyed the fireworks display in comfort. All my family, good food, great conversation, and beautiful displays of rockets bursting, this is how I remember the fourths of old. I must cofess this old lady had a lot to smile about!
