Cindy’s Day!
32 years ago today you came to me and it has never been the same.
I’ve watched you grow to a loving woman, as I changed pictures in the frame.
The years have passed so quickly, though to you it doesn’t seem true.
I think of you and think “16” even though now you are 32.
At 16 we had Banana Splits to celebrate your day.
We did the same thing on Monday just to try and say,
We love you Cindy Catherine, my sweet red-headed daughter.
You will always be here in our hearts just the way you ought to!
A New Month!
Well the round of Doctor’s office visits began again today. A visit to evaluate if a cataract surgery is needed on Jay’s right eye. It is and a series of appointments, including the surgery, has been set up.
On Thursday it is an appointment with Jay’s counselor and Friday is his stress test so it didn’t take long to start filling the social calendar again.
Last Friday the John Deere came home and Sunday Jay mowed the 2+ acres to make our humble abode look lovely again.
Monday Sweet Thing and Hubby came up for an early birthday celebration. David took down the old, broken blind on the bay window and hung the new one for me. He then took the living room door down so I could sand and repaint some bad spots on it. That done, he rehung it. He then made some of the cuts I needed to start construction on the “Tatter-Onion” boxes. My knight in shining armor helping again. Oh yes and the girls lost at cards again.
I’m looking forward to July 17th because my grand-daughter Jazz is coming up to spend a week with me. I hope to take her swimming, window shopping, and sight seeing while she is here. I also plan to try to teach her to crochet seeing as we are both left-handed. We will also do what my Grandma did with me—put together jig-saw puzzles and play dominoes. She might even have to drive the tractor because that grass just keeps growing!
