Short Chat!
Just a short chat to say that I have finished Neil Gaiman’s ‘Stardust’ and a reread of Stephen King’s ‘The Dark Tower’ (book one) in preparation to reread up through book four. Then I can read five and six in the series which I just purchased.
I am behind on two Reader’s Digest Select books, but I will be doing quite a bit of sitting this coming week with Jay’s surgery and follow up appointments so I’ll start catching up.
An update on Free Cell: Now on game #21815 approximately five games not solved.
Well it is the first day of a new month--let’s hope things go better for everyone and money and food don’t become a problem of survivial for everyone. I know the truck repair, the bedroom furnishing, and a new expense in the medical area sure shifted us into low gear for a while, but shit happens and we all get hit, some worse than others, but it is going to get better so keep those chins up. Besides it makes it easier to see when to duck!!!
Piss Poor Lumberjack!
Ah yesterday was the day! A day to fill my lungs with the dust of tree branches being run through a shredder. It was a day to raise scrapes in the form of blood blisters without breaking the skin on my arm from branches whipping into said shedder. It was a day to try to avoid the the bugs and to rip an L shape hole in my all ready patched jeans. So I bent down, picked up, and shoved sticks, branches, and limbs into the growling and whining old Toy Built until I ran out of gas at about the same time as the shredder did. I managed quite alot of the clean up but couldn’t restart the shredder after gassing it up. So it was pull it back into the shed and save the rest for another day.
I managed to wash up my hands and arms then thought a look see in the mirror was called for. Man there was debris in my hair and a black dust in the folds on my neck.
After supper and a sit on the couch in front of the TV clearing my throat and blowing my nose I decided bedtime was in order. As I pulled off my shirt a felt grit under my (well on my chest). Into the shower as warm as possible to stave off the aches and pains tomorrow would bring. Then off to bed --Boy I needed it too!
So here I am today still clearing my throat so I can breathe. My arm looks red and angry but it doesn’t hurt. My old jeans are in the washer waiting to be run. I have all ready located the patching material for them so that will be done this afternoon. My hot shower worked wonders because I have only a little pain and stiffness.
I may be a piss poor lumberjack but you gotta admit I try!
