Eight years ago tomorrow in our backyard two people, very near and dear to us, were married. Oh what a wedding it was! The people standing up with them were their parents. The day was beautiful and sunny. The tables were decorated with bouquets of Snapdragons (Cindy’s favorite). The minister forgot to add the lighting of the wedding candle to the ceremony. The people in attendance started eating before the bride and groom. There was no music, children ran around the tables, the video camera worked only when it felt like it, and the bride was barefooted.
Now you might believe that with a start like that this couple might have been destined for failure. But through some pretty hectic, sometimes thin financially, sometime ill or angry times, these two still manage to love, laugh, and cry together. Through hardships and happy times love seems to grow deeper and for Cindy and David this is so true.
Happy Anniversary you two and many more!
