AlmostThe Last Day Of August 2004

Yesterday I took it easy (ain’t as young as I used to be) even took a nap in the late afternoon.  I woke up wondering why I hadn’t slipped out of my clothes until I spied what time it was.

So today it was haul all the freshly washed costumes back upstairs to the closet.  I deposited the clown trunk, hats, wigs, and balloon pump back in the basement.

Next came cleaning the bird cages, and Molly’s cat box so I could take the garbage and recycling down to the end of the driveway for pick up tomorrow.  Also remembered the cardboard I’d cut and tied up to go down too.

In between chores we took time out for lunch.  We had a mug of Campbell’s Golden Mushroom Soup, Toasteds butter crackers covered with Gourmet Crab Spread with Green Onions, and Lemon Chiffon Yogurt over seedless Green Grapes.  On the diet --Don’t know and don’t care --it was good!!

I did a run through of the family blogs today spreading my two cents all around and then played Free Cell. (on game # 22040 now.) I finally finished rereading book III of The Dark Tower by Stephen King and started rereading book !V ‘ Wizard And Glass’ which is 240 some pages longer than the last book for a total of 668 pages.  That will bring me up to book V ‘ Wolves of the Calla which I haven’t read before and ‘Song of Susannah’ book VI.  Somewhere in there I have to slip in the last two Reader’s Digest Select Books and ‘Twisted” a collection of short stories by Jeffery Deaver.  Also the Reader’s Digest monthly magazine came in today.  Golly I will have a time keeping this house clean with all this reading to do! (any excuse is better than none)

That’s my news on this second to last day of August 2004!
