A phone call from California 14 years ago, my son telling me his wedding would be on September the 15th, could Jay and I be there. Wedding?! Marriage?! Wes?! Who?! OK son, we will be there.
The bride is Debra, but I don’t know her! What will she think of us? Will she like us and the rest of the family? Lots of questions, lots of worry! But that all changed the day we arrived for the wedding. I could give you a bunch of adjectives to describe her. Red-headed, beautiful, intelligent, warm, caring, but I’ll sum it up with I loved her from the very beginning.
Now they have been married for 14 years. There have been good years and very thin years, but they stuck it out and worked hard to make it work. They are the great example of two halves coming together to make a whole.
To wish you a Happy Anniversary is understood--To wish you many more years together is our greatest hope.
