Whee!  Santa Came Early To Me!

Yup, it’s true!  I have in my posession an Atari Flashback!  What you say is that?  It is a retro-syle game console with two Atari 7800 tm-inspired joysticks plus 20 (count them ) 20 games .  Oh that is old stuff you say.  True but it is for an old person (me) to play!!  I have bought games for others to play but never like this for me!  So it is not just Free Cell for me anymore because I got my own game console!!!

Three Wise Men

About 4 years ago I found an instruction book on crocheting a Nativity set.  the figures were 2 1/2” to 6” high.  So I set about to create this set with stable, aninals and all.  Well the figures came out fine.  The animals were a little sad looking and the stable with moss and dowels didn’t want to stand up.  I set it up last year and propped up the stable but this year I didn’t have the heart!

In my search for the Christmas decorations however I came across the project I made after completing that set.  I had thought if you could use Speed-Cro-Sheen crochet cotton why couldn’t you use yarn to make a bigger figure.  This is the results.

The Wise Men are 17” tall and after being packed away for two years a little worse for wear.  But it did prove that you could, with a little adjusting, make this set in a larger scale.  So I will pick up the crochet hook,  find some doll hair to fill in the beards better, and hopefully some type of metalic yarn to create a larger set.  The stable however will be wood or bought.

Oh boy another project to go along with the construction of the three minature houses and the furniture to fill them.  I have to get busy or I’ll run out of time!!!
