Love Is

Love is the feeling you get when you see the diamonds shining in the snow from the sun shine!

It is the smile that lights up your face when another human in the grocery store takes the time to acknowledge you.

It is the kiss on the forehead you earned because you cared.

It is a child’s shy grin when you wink at them across the room.

It is the way your children hug you --first with their head on your breast, then with arms around your knees, then that quick squeeze because it really ain’t that cool, and finally the arms enveloping you to comfort and steady you!

Love is the hundreds of pictures drawn by your grandkids to be hung up all over the house and the hours you spend together over the puzzles, dominos or the card games.

It is the moments you spend looking over the photos of loved ones, how they have changed through the years, and the pride you have in them.

Love is the way you review all the years of your life.  The mistakes made, the victories, the losses, the knowledge gained, hearts that are broken, the hope that is shared, the friends that are made and the people forgotten!

Love is the commitment to another person that last through the trials of life.  To remain together through the good times and the bad.

It is the little rituals you share, how you take care of each other when one is ill, how you both look forward to a better day tomorrow, and the warmth of each others arms .

Love is the words that are spoken , the deeds that done, the happiness that is spread, and the comfort that is exchanged.

The He-mote!

Just in time for Valentines Day but it could be adapted to birthdays, wedding anniversaries, Christmas, and ‘don’t be mad I didn’t mean to piss you off’’ days!  Believe me I have checked the internet, the drugstores, the card shops, the department stores, and the hardwares but this handy gizmo is nowhere to be found.  I guess I’ll have to check with my dear friend to see where she found it.  She called it a He-mote but the electronic sites don’t seem to have it in stock.  So if you happen to find one please send this old lady a heads up !

I really love the Buy Me buttons!
