A simple request from Jay last night. “Honey could you find me a longer robe to cover my legs when I take a chill?”
Sure I replied—no problem. That was before I started my phone search this morning. Replies to my request were: No we don’t have any long robes for men. Excuse me, you said a 2x? Maybe Penney’s catalog might have some. They are only out at Christmas time!
So, I thought, I can make him a robe. Yep, I can do this! On the way to the hospital I picked up material and a pattern. I came in after visiting hours, balanced the check book (or at least tried), grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down at the computer to write a little thank you entry. I looked up and it is 9:30 pm and this is as far as I have gotten! I did a preview and lost my post. So now I still have to layout, pin, and cutout tonight and it is 10:12 pm.
In the morning I’ll haul out the old Kenmore sewing machine and try to build this puppy—while keeping in mind I have to visit Jay tomorrow. Wish me luck!
