When I first looked out I thought a huge snail had tracked down my back driveway. But a little later in the morning my mystery was solved. A muskrat was coming up to a pile of birdseed that had spilled from the deck. Then he slid back down to the shed and disappeared.
Day before yesterday the Red-winged Black birds returned to the feeder--can the robins be far behind? I guess it will soon be time to put up the Oriole and the Hummingbird feeders. In the meantime I’ll enjoy the Woodpeckers, the Sap-suckers, and the Chickadees! Waiting for Spring is really hard to do!

Taking a few minutes out from developing menus for Jay’s diet to introduce you to his “girls’ in the hospital!
This is ‘tall’ Anne who was one of his day nurses. She stress his need to follow instructions to the letter when he came home.
Another Anne who we called ‘little’ Anne and like tall Anne she was concerned that he come back for his surgery as well as he left!
Then there was Jullie, good natured and smiling--very upbeat yet concerned with his progress.
Sheila, his beard trimmer, Patty, who helped him with his radio, and Amber who helped with the By-pap machine are just a few of the many people who made him comfortable. I wasn’t able to get their pictures but I did get a copy of Ginny’s picture.
She was a special “girl”!
Many thanks to you all!
