It has been about two years since the hubby has stood at the table saw to cut something. But yesterday there he was--safety glasses and all--cutting wood to build a base for a water powered retractable hose reel. Note the tee shirt!!!
Then get out the trusty old Makita to mount the reel to the wood. He was pleased with his accomplishment. Yep I was pleased too because it means those ‘tater/onion boxes might be next!!

Part One!
My eldest, Wes bought a 100 (+) year old house in a small town in Michigan. The inside had hard wood floors, plastered walls, and all the amenities of a house that old. But the outside was a sight to behold. Blistered paint that the former owner had tried to paint over. Wires hanging everywhere, siding that needed repair, and a roof that had to go.
In September of 2001 the scraping began.
Wes had some heip along the way but the majority of the task fell on his shoulders. What does it take to give an “old painted lady” a facelift? Alot of hard work and alot of money.
But the results are amazing --as we hope to show you over the next few weeks.
