All Things Come To Those Who Wait!
And I did and It did!
I sat so still with the camera focused on the feeder.
A Goldenfinch flew to the other side of the feeder and stayed for a good five minutes.
I waited but it never came into view.
A Hummingbird flew in, took a few sips and flew on.
The Red-bellied Woodpecker flew up , spied me, and took off.
Still I sat--waiting, watching and suddenly there it was!
The Goldenfinch perched on the hook that holds it’s feeder.
I shifted the camera up a little bit, clicked, and then smiled.
I had my picture finally.
I could only wish for a 5.0 MP with a 10X zoom camera because out at the shed the beavers were taking their morning sun. I counted 1 large and 2 small ones. Yesterday there was 4 or 5 babbies and a couple of adults out there. A large one crossed the back driveway and then signalled the little ones to cross one at a time. I stood with binoculars and watch them scamper out into the grass to eat yellow flowers. We have a pond at the back of our yard and another next door for them to swim in.
During my wait today two bunnies crossed the driveway scampered up the hill and under a flowering bush. Oh well maybe one of these days I’ll be able to catch those long distance shots. Untill then I’ll sit and watch because it is so wonderous!
