My Elves!

This afternoon Sweet Thing and David came up to visit. She needed some new jeans shortened and an old pair patched. So while I worked on that two Christmas elves worked on decorating my tree.

Cindy worked on the middle of the tree.  She concentrated on her job with that little tongue peeking out.

David worked on the top area of the tree because I’m built to close to the ground. He brought the boxes with the ceramic buildings down from upstairs to be placed around the base of the tree.

So their help while I sewed resulted in this beautiful tree.  Thank you Gokey’s I love it!

Enough Already!

The loner was cleaned off yesterday in preparation for a trip to the store. Never got there! My lips are sealed! Anyway this morning out the kitchen window this is what caught my eye. My only comment is it ain’t goin’ nowhere today either! I’m still in a state of shell shock from a week ago Saturday. I have driven since then but only when it is a case of have to. Do you think a family of two can get by on a half gallon of 1/2 per cent milk, six pounds of coffee, and a case of Chicken Noodle soup until March? I can almost see you shaking you heads. Besides I will run out of inside and outside birdseed before then!  Molly has this plaintive meow when her dish is empty and I couldn’t stand that cry for three months.

My penguin mom and little one can’t even cross the driveway in all this white stuff. Mom was an extra made when we constructed Dakota’s penguins. The little one was born when I found I had enough plywood to make it. Drawn freehand it lacks the finesse of a pattern type but it gets the idea across.

The tree is up now but the decorations are still in the box. Still haven’t run the extension cords to power the outdoor display but I’ll get it. It is not a one or two day project anymore.

Well I have to visit a few blogs this morning and get back in the decorations box so we will visit later.
