April 10---Day’s End!
Grocery and hardware shopping ---Done
Barrels painted----Done
Bed frame----Done
Momma------Dead (tired that is)
But that much is done by golly!
On This Day April 10!
Good Morning Again! Well I have been able to lurk around my blog haunts a little each day but to visit with you seemed a difficult task to accomplish these last few days. So it is catch up time but not in chronological order.
This afternoon Jay and I will finish giving the garden barrels their new coat of brown paint. All 12 barrels were painted on the bottom and down the sides except for five of them in the basement which need the last six or so inches done all the way around. They will be place along the edge of the cement pad which runs under the deck at the back of the dome. Next step will be to fill them which will be another post.
We also worked on building the frame for the box that will become the under the shelf bed in the upstairs computer room. I need to sand the edges to remove those pesky slivers and finish painting it. We have a twin size Aero mattress, new sheets, and a pillow to add to the blanket and twin comforter purchased previously. By golly no more sleeping on the couch for the visiting grand-kids now.
Both of these task were completed with co-operation between a semi-blind husband and his grumpy, old wife. Amazing what you can do when you take two not completely competent people with the desire to get things done and rub them together.
Well life has changed in the Axsom household because Brandy is sleeping through the night. Instead of barking at 3 or 5 am she has adjusted to 6 or 7 am. What a joy to lay down at 11 pm or 12 am and not have to stagger outside some four hours later especially in slippers, a nightgown, and a jacket. She is due at the Vet’s office on Friday for another check up and more shots. We will then find out how much she has grown then.
The latest in the Molly-Brandy saga is hilarious to say the least. Molly is sneaking up close to Brandy to sniff her. When Brandy discovers her so close she panics and runs for her bed. At least the distance between them before the panic set in is getting shorter and Molly no longer growls at her.
Next project for this morning is shopping. A grocery list for Easter Sunday dinner is waiting on the kitchen counter. Wes, Les and their families will be up along with Richard to partake of what we hope is a good meal. Alas our Cindy has to work. Also on our grocery list is a hardware store list so we can count on our morning being pretty well shot.
The second baby project is a hooded blanket and I now have eight inches to go to complete the blanket part. The hood and edging need to be done so the stress is building a little. The baby is due mid-month and you don’t get much ‘midder’ than this!
The next three days will be spent shoveling out, dusting, and organizing this household so as to present a picture of not quite ‘Martha’ but a little better than pig sty!!!
OK enough procrastination --I must start marching through my day!
