What a difference two days of April Showers can make. The grass is growing and a beautiful green. The leaves on the trees are making their presence known. The Bleeding Hearts put in roughly four days ago has settled in and are now reaching for the sky.
Yesterday I spent the better part of the day waiting in the hospital with my brother. He needed more work done on his foot to promote the healing. I used the time to read a little more of ‘Teacher Man’ and add ten rows to the baby blanket.
Today Brandy and I have a date with the Vet to check out her right eye. There is some weeping of unknown origin to be taken care of. So at 3:30 we go for a ride.
It was a little cold last night but my two large plants, that spent all winter indoors, seem no worse for wear outside this morning.
Cindy was up for a couple of hours yesterday but I didn’t get much time with her because I was at the hospital. She has been trying to get her life in order now for quite a while. It sure hurts the heart to see your child’s red rimmed eyes with a hopeless look and not be able to do a damn thing about it but keep telling her you love and support her decision. When does life stop slapping us around and let us catch our breath once in a while?
Update: Brandy has Conjunctivitis in both eyes caused by the hair in the eyes causing irritation and weeping. So a salve to heal and Momma is going to have to learn trim the hair around the eyes.
