More Mutterings!

A little after noon on Tuesday and the Tiger Lilies are still blooming at the base of the trees.  I spoke with Jay this morning and it seems he may be staying until the end of the week.  The staples are out of his arm from the surgery (two weeks ago) but he is still on oxygen.

I spent yesterday afternoon reading the newspaper to him and putting him to sleep.  Cindy and David came in at about 6pm and stayed until 9pm so I could come home and see to the animals and birds.
(Time out --Spirit called for apple which meant slicing and sharing with the other birds, Momma, and of course Brandy needed to try it)
Jay is in pretty good humor but being troubled with cramps in his legs and feet.  I’ll be going up later this afternoon to spend another three or four hours with him.  I’ll bore him to tears reading again.  I’m not a very good read ‘alouder’ any more.

A call to our deck man yesterday resulted in an answer this morning. ETA is two to three weeks but we have been six years with the old one so it is no big deal!  Besides we still have honey bees in the wall so maybe the bee man will set up the hive again for a couple of weeks.  Such are the joys of country living!

Brandy’s last class is Friday night and I am having trouble getting excited about her last assignment.  We worked on it last night for a little while but she got upset trying to understand what I wanted her to do and I started messing up the signals so we called it quits.  This morning it was another no go so I’ll give it a shot tonight when I get home from the hospital.

Here is hoping that all is well with you and that you are staying out of trouble!  Talk at you later!
