Pleasant Visit -Time To Rest!
Good Morning--Oh Shit I just looked at the clock in the corner of the screen and it is now 12:14 pm. So much for that happy greeting! Well the shitty problems are behind us now. I just finished shoveling the dirt back on the trapdoor that covers the septic tank opening. The right arm is arguing with me right now but luckily I’m left handed! ( but by the looks of the red lines on the last sentence it don’t my spelling a bit)!
Wes and Dakota are on the way up to help out on a couple of projects today. Dakota is going to mow with the lawn tractor and Wes is going to put one of those ‘plastic ‘ mailbox/paper box combo up for us. Not a hard job if you have eyes and energy but unfortunately we lack one or both of those abilities.
We filled the new bird feeder with a different seed this time and it doesn’t seem to be as attractive as our regular seed to our feathered friends. Jay said it could also be that there is still a lot to eat in the wilds yet. Well we will see because I have 40 lbs of the new stuff!
I’m looking forward to working on one of my afghans this afternoon with my feet up and my coffee by my side. An e-mail from Lion Yarns yesterday had free crochet patterns for a S-35 (speed hook). I already have the hook so I ordered the special yarn and printed out the patterns. So I had better do the projects, right?
I have my new sign on the front porch which declares the witch is in but I have to hang my Halloween flag yet. Then it is off to the basement to find the container with the pumpkins and lighted spooky houses to set up! Well the driveway door bell just announced Wes’ arrival!
It is now 4:46 pm Dakota has most of the yard mowed and the tractor put away. Wes changed the mailbox, put our address sign on a tree near the road, and corrected the no sound problem on the downstairs computer. We had hot dogs, salad, and chips for lunch. The boys just left for home with jam, brucshetta in a jar, and salsa. Now it is siesta time and Brandy and I are going to take a nap for awhile. A pleasant visit to dream about.
