So much has changed in the last few days that I feel like Brandy as she watches the birds outside. So wanting to be in the picture yet issues keep me inside looking out. Jay’s surgery for 12/4 was cancelled but on on 12/7 they put a catheter in his chest until after the graft, which is scheduled on 12/18, is healed.
This has delayed his eye treatment until 1/5/07. This will be after my second cataract surgery.
They keep calling to change the time of Jay’s dialysis which means that I have to take him in and go pick him up instead of him being able to take the Your Ride bus. Consequently I can’t get into a big project at home because I’m needed to go and get him. The only other problem is driving after dark and trying to get a meal on the table for when he does get home.
Somehow we have to get Christmas Eve with our Children and grandchildren squeezed in there. I have all but three of my Christmas cards made, address, and on their way. The decorating inside and out is done and the menu for the Eve dinner is being finalized. Most of the gifts are here but not wrapped yet. That will be the next priority item.
Unfortunately my afghans didn’t get finished so I had to go to plan b. But such is life when you are inside looking and longing to be out.
