I What!
OK lets start with the picture.
I have been working on squares for Grammie Pammie with a goal of 10 different colors, 1 knit & 2 crochet each, with a total of 30 squares. I have worked on them in doctors offices, waiting in the hospital during Jay’s surgery, in the truck while Jay got his haircut, and on the coach in the afternoon and evening in front of the TV. I have completed 20 so I have a ways to go. But I will keep plugging away because I want a time out to finish Deaver’s book and read Harry Potter’s last adventure.
In the time past since our last visit I saw one doctor about my feet and was told I was beyond his capabilities. He referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon and I have an appointment with him on September 4th. This docter in excellent in reconstruction and the first doctor said that is what I need. Fingers are crossed that he can help me!!
On the 2nd Jay had Surgery on his right arm to put a fistula in it because the last operation is working but the body choose an alternate vein to the one set up for dialysis and Dr. Webb wants the new location to be ready in a couple of months to take over if this one fails. However this created a problem for trying to take blood pressure readings with both arms out of action for a cuff. Yesterday I bought a new machine for reading on the leg but all we are getting is errors. So it means more investigation to solve the problem because we must have daily readings.
We also got a final OK and prescription for Jay’s new glasses from Dr. Rohr. So last Tuesday he had them made and is wearing them now.
A phone call from Florida about my brother Dan’s progress just came in. It seems they are having trouble with blood pressure and he is in and out of the hospital trying to nail down the problem. He goes back in Monday or Tuesday for more tests.
On a lighter note I tried knocking down a hornet’s nest inside our wishing well and got stung for my efforts. I finally sprayed it and another one on the side of the dome. I swear if I ever can afford to have this place resided it will not be done in layered material. It has got to fit together to keep the bees and hornets on the outside of the wall.
Well we got Brandy to the haircut people last week and Jay to his barber today so now they are both all beautiful.
With the heat the last few days my flowers are or have died and my electric company is going to send me a thank you card for running the air conditioners so much. I have managed to keep fresh water in the bird bath. I added water to the fountains but I sometimes forget to turn them on so I found little tadpoles swimming in them. I have kept the Hummingbird feeder fresh, the finches fed, and suet cakes for my woodpeckers but I’m not filling the regular seed feeder right now because there is a lot to eat for them out there.
Well with 9 and half more squares to go I think I’ll leave you for today. Remember to love, relax, and laugh out loud frequently!!
