Sproing, Sproing!
Home again with only a half of a cement block wrapped around my foot not the two I came home from the hospital with. The x ray looked good I guess because Dr. Fortin didn’t pass out when he read it. The stitches are out and miracle of miracles the foot didn’t even fall off. The new cast is green to celebrate the Christmas holidays. It will be a time out so can knit a cover for the toes (as Mrs. Dof suggested earlier.) I can see that I’m going to have to watch myself about walking on it because I want to use it and shouldn’t.
I been doing a little On line shopping for my family for Christmas. Nothing real expensive because money is tight for our family (just like everyone else these days.) If I could have a wish it would be enough money to buy my oldest a new dryer to replace the one that died and replace some of his savings. Money to help my second son to get his much needed degree to allow him and his family to get back into their own home. Enough money to allow my youngest not to have to work double shifts to make ends meet. The ability to get jobs for the daughter-in-laws to help the sons get ahead. Money to help my brother and sister in law get on an even keel with the medical and everyday living needs. Money to help my old boss and dear friend to hire full time help in her home. Money to help my other dear friend to make the much needed repairs on her home. The ability to help my dead brother’s fiance to get out of the debt from when she helped keep him alive when he couldn’t work. But I don’t have that wish so I guess I can only send my love and thoughts to all these people and to all others in need this time of year. All are good, hard working people and some where in this life their needs will be met.
As for me I call the pain my Dragon that snaps at my toes every once in a while. I’m doing well good friends and maybe next year at this time I will be able to walk in The Lake Orion Lighted Christmas Parade again. I sure do miss making children smile and hugging the Cops along the parade route. Well I guess we are all pretty busy right now so I’ll close for tonight!
