December Marches On!
I spoke of homemade ornaments earlier and this a sample of them. The bear had a miniature music box in it but it has since died. The Santa head was an easy pattern to follow and I had made several for family members. Somewhere in a box is a snow shovel with ‘cotton’ snow on it, a red barn, and a few other plastic mesh ornaments that didn’t make it on the tree this year. Maybe next year we can visit with these memories again.
Cindy and David came up yesterday and while Jay and David did grocery and gift card shopping the girls made spaghetti and biscuits for supper.
We listened to the Moody Blues, Fleet wood Mac, and several other older groups on the radio. Cindy washed my hair and help me clean up the kitchen. She watered the house plants that I couldn’t get at. Just spending time together was great medicine for me. Before she left she trimmed a few toenails also.
David put four chairs away for me so I could get around easier. Basically it was a case of several things coming off the to do list which took a load off my mind.
I have to admit that being housebound is saving money because normally I would be roaming the stores and buying gifts for people who I’d all ready bought for and then spending more to even out the amount everyone received.
I have one of the scarves almost finished and one to go. I have been trying to visit everyone’s blog but haven’t done much posting. My pain pills keep tempting me to crawl off for a siesta with Brandy. My cabin fever isn’t bad at all and the itches haven’t started on the inside of my cast yet.
Jay has an appointment with Dr. Ross tomorrow and is taking YOUR RIDE to the office. We will get the gifts we have wrapped and under the tree on Wednesday. I have to get some jam sent out to the lady who was my room mate in the hospital. I also have a few more cards to write out and mail too.
But for now it is pick up the knitting needles and finish the project.
Have a great day!!!!!
