Having been remiss in my family duties in January I now take time to correct said condition.
Remembering the birthday of my mother Gertrude Catherine Waggoner
1-21-16 to 3-24-92
Also daughter-in-law Anne Gribble Jenkins ------
------who had a birthday on January 30th.
Happy Birthday Anne!
Yesterday Les, Anne, and Courtney came up for a visit. I didn’t see much of Les because after dinner he took Jay grocery shopping. Thank you son very much! But the girls were busy. Anne made the upstairs bed then laid down to nurse a headache. Courtney and I change the downstairs bed then sat down to watch CATS on DVD. I had attended the live performance several years ago but fell asleep in the middle of it. I received it as a Christmas gift from Dar and Michael so I finally got to see it all the way through. Even yesterday I could feel the tears well up as I heard MEMORIES sung by the old cat in the production.
Yes so many simple things seem to bring tears these days. Not all tears of sadness either. Some are for happy times I have lived through. Some for watching my family grow up and become their own individuals. Some are for moments of joy that surprised me . Another year is about to pass for me, another Spring to delight in. Another Summer of warmth and sunshine to come before the colors of Fall return. Oh I am so looking forward to the magical time again.
