On The Road Again!

This was the condition that our outdoor birds faced a couple of days ago.  It also prompted my next visit to the front seat of the pick up.  Tuesday we started out with breakfast at Arlene’s in Otisville.  We had not been there in about two and a half months.  We were greeted warmly and ate our fill.

Next stop was the Secretary Of State’s office in Davison where I renewed my driver’s license.  Jay went across the street to the jeweler’s to take my ring into be fixed.  As I had thought I had broken a prong off and was in danger of losing the stone.  Two weeks and the ring will be good as new.

Our next stop was Davison Sausage and Bacon where Jay buys his favorite bacon.  I stayed in the truck there to rest my foot.

But then it was shopping at Vg’s and I wasn’t sitting that one out.  I’m sure Jay would have preferred shopping alone because I always find extra things to buy.  I had a ball and he didn’t have a heart attack then they rang up the bill so I guess it wasn’t too bad.

We stopped at Otisville Glass on the way home for wild bird seed and then across the street and down a block or two to Rite Aid our last stop before home.  It was now the beginning of a freezing rain and home was the best place to be.

Today we have been taking it easy.  I have set up our haircuts for tomorrow and Jay called our tax man for an appointment.  I have finished the hats for my three Mr. Flurry dolls and packed them away to be assembled closer to next Christmas.  I finished a little key ring holder with a dog on it (plastic mesh) and finally started this long delayed project.

I had one place mat left to finish when I pack this away.  The project had called for napkin rings made with the violet pattern but I thought that place mats to go with them would make a great gift.  Well the napkin rings were given away several years ago .  To who I can’t remember but the place mats weren’t complete so they didn’t go.  Now I will dig out the book and remake the rings after I get the mat filled in.

Remaining appointments to be made are with our Vet for Brandy and Molly (due in December and January).  My dental appointment that was due in December also.  I’ll work on setting these up tomorrow.  I’m sure there are some other things that will need attention soon but I can’t think of them now.

Do stay warm and laugh a little!  I’ll be lurking!!!!
